Brazilian Jiu Jitsu


Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or Gracie Jiu Jitsu is a modern, dynamic martial art that focuses on ground fighting. Almost 80% of real self-defence situations end on the ground, before that there is usually a "scuffle". Brazilian Jiu Jitsu picks up on this fact and so the benefits for effective, realistic self-defence are obvious. Throws, levers, chokes and ground fighting positions as well as their defence are trained. The aim of the various techniques is to put the opponent in an unfavourable position and then immobilise him or her and/or force him or her to give up. As a side effect, the training offers a whole-body workout, trains the senses and provides a change from stressful everyday life.

Information

It is advantageous to wear a mouthguard in the long run to avoid unsightly accidents.
