Our climbing classic to the beautiful canton of Ticino, will take place again this year as a four-day compact course. The region is known for its Mediterranean climate, Lake Maggiore is already a popular vacation destination in spring. Climbing-wise, this course is the perfect all-rounder. The areas are perfectly secured, which makes it the ideal training area. From bouldering blocks to short sport climbing routes to 300-meter long multi-pitches, everything is on offer. No matter which facet of climbing you would like to get to know, you will get it here.
Just behind Locarno, the warmest city in Switzerland, you will find our cozy and very clean campsite. It is located directly on the Maggia River, which has crystal clear mountain water and invites you to swim. The Ponte, our primary climbing area, is only a few minutes away by car. Travel and meals are not included in the course fee and will be organized collectively at the preliminary meeting.

Climbing is an intense experience where everyone can reach their own limits. Beginners can learn climbing and belaying from scratch under the guidance of our DAV licensed instructors. Due to the perfect protection of the routes, even lead climbing is quickly possible for beginners of climbing. In addition to improving personal climbing and belaying skills, the program also includes belaying techniques and tactics for multi-pitch climbing. Of course, a lot of climbing time is also planned to directly try out what has been learned in practice. One day we will travel to one of the best bouldering areas in Europe to get to know this fascinating facet of climbing. For the professionals among you, we also have special training topics such as onsight goes, route analysis, current knowledge on stand construction and much more on the program. Additional information on material science will also be provided. Whatever you want to know in climbing, here you get it in theory and practice.
There are no climbing technical requirements for this trip. The leisure time is directed at all who want to experience climbing in the great outdoors.

The Maggia is perfect for a first cool down after climbing. On the shore there is also a beach volleyball court and there are enough trees to stretch slacklines. We will prepare dinner together. A highlight is the dinner-evening, where the Unisport team demonstrates its experience with the camp kitchen and cooks up excellent food. In the evening, the nearby shore invites to a cozy get-together around the campfire with guitars and various songbooks.
