Climbing tower at the RPTU
Information

Welcome to the heart of the vertical! We are delighted to welcome you to the official website of the Peak 17 climbing tower.
With its 17 meters, the tower is enthroned in the middle of the Pfalz sports center on the sports grounds of the RPTU Kaiserslautern. Peak 17 is a cooperation project between the DAV Landesverband Rheinland-Pfalz, the Rheinland-Pfälzische Technische Universität Kaiserslautern-Landau and the Heinrich-Heine-Gymnasium Kaiserslautern.  The climbing tower offers a variety of routes and walls for all levels of amateur and competitive sport. From the 3rd to the 11th UIAA level of difficulty, we have a wide range of climbing routes ready for you.
We offer a diverse range of climbing routes on a climbing area of approx. 650m² with 26 deflection points. So what are you waiting for? 

Please note that there may be closures during certain events such as competitions.

Prices and opening hours

Opening hours from June 12, 2024

We are starting operations with the following core opening hours, and as soon as we have completed further construction work, we will significantly extend the opening hours.

Monday: 17-21 o'clock
Wednesday: 17-21 o'clock
Friday: 14-21 o'clock
Sunday: 14- 21 o'clock

Admission tickets

There will be single tickets, 11 tickets and annual tickets. You must purchase these via the ZSGW-WebApp.

For Peak 17 there are single tickets, 11 tickets and annual tickets. All tickets must be booked via the ZSGW web app.

Anreise
Public transportation

If you are traveling by public transport, you can use the bus stop "Universität Sporthalle". From here you can reach Peak 17 in 5 minutes on foot.

Car

If you are traveling by car, it is best to park in the street Paul-Ehrlich-Straße  in the parking lots in front of buildings 22-24. From here you can reach Peak 17 in 2 minutes on foot.
