and this is how it works

Karate (Japanese for "empty hand") is a Japanese martial art that combines a variety of punching, striking, kicking and blocking techniques.

In our course we train Shotokan, but other styles (e.g. Goju-Ryu, Shito-Ryu) are also represented and everyone is welcome. The training starts with a warm-up and stretching phase. The training is then divided into Kihon (basic training), Kata (forms) and Kumite (free fighting).

Beginners start with simple basic techniques and over time participants learn increasingly complex combinations and techniques.

You don't need to bring anything except sportswear. If available, you can bring a karate-gi and gloves for kumite.

Note: The training takes place barefoot.

Entry is possible at any time. Register for the entire semester and cancel your registration for the dates you cannot attend.

Important information on the course schedule/changes will be communicated via the respective registration list.
