Okinawa-Kenpo

Okinawa Kenpo is a traditional martial art taught for self-defence. Okinawa is the island of origin for the original form of Kenpo practised here ("Way of the China Fist"). It is located southwest of Japan, about 750km off the Chinese coast in the East China Sea. There, the martial art found its origin several centuries ago and has established itself as an effective system for self-defence. This high art of self-defence can in principle be learned by anyone regardless of age, gender & stature. It depends much more on technique & speed than on strength or physical dominance, which in turn is typical of the competitive sports that are widespread everywhere.
The prerequisite for learning martial arts, however, is the right mental attitude - i.e. patience & willingness to learn. All techniques practised here in the dojo are always adapted to the student's own fitness level. The focus is on the individual students as individuals.
