Irish Dance

At the end of the 90s, the Irish dance wave spilled over into mainland Europe with "Riverdance" and Michael Flatley's "Lord of the Dance" and already has many enthusiastic followers.

In Irish dancing, there are soft-shoe dances, which are danced in soft shoes, similar to gymnastic shoes, where the focus is on jumps, turns and various step combinations. Hardshoe dances, which are danced in a kind of tap shoe, are about fast feet and the right rhythm. A lot of fun is provided by the Ceilis, which are traditional Irish group dances whose simple step sequences are familiar to many Irish dancers, so that you quickly find common ground with dancers from all over the world.

This group is aimed at beginners who want to learn the basic steps of Irish dancing and also at advanced dancers who want to try more complicated step sequences. Comfortable clothing and flexible sports or gymnastic shoes are sufficient for beginners.
