Secret Tours

On this tour, especially for first-year students, the newcomers to RPTU had the chance to make new contacts and get to know fellow students. With puzzles and challenges, the evening turned into a little adventure, with the fire bringing light into the darkness on the way back!

On this tour, we made our way through the forest to the House of Sustainability in Johanniskreuz. There we cooked together in an outdoor kitchen on an open fire and in an earth oven. From sheep's cheese or tofu in a maple leaf to roast potatoes, vegetables in a jar and haunch of venison to chocolate banana, everything was there. Finally, one or the other brave adventurer cooled off in the pond.

We dared to go high on this tour and climb the Donnersberg with its great trails. With a huge group, far more than the other tours, we filled the coach and set ourselves the mission to reach the summit of the highest mountain in the Palatinate. We were rewarded with great views of wide-spreading valleys, for example, from the Adlerbogen. Finally, a delicious meal from the grill was not to be missed.

After a joint hike to the legendary Humbergturm, we set up our outdoor kitchen at the summit with a view of the Devils' stadium. Teamwise we have conjured up a feast of main course, side salad and aperative drink on the table. Due to the changeable weather, we were rewarded with a beautiful rainbow. The way back we have brightly illuminated with torches.

We went into the underground world of the city of Kaiserslautern. Invisible corridors below the earth's surface led us to the Palgrave's Hall and gave us a glimpse into a partly forgotten but magnificent time. Afterwards we had a delicious meal with typical Palatine food in the oldest restaurant in Kaiserslautern, the Spinnrädl.

This Secret Tour left no one dry! An insane adventure took us high up on wheels in wonderful weather before we danced on the waves. Also Entspannug did not come too briefly with this sporty challenge and we enjoyed the warm summer evening on the shore.

We didn't just discover the unexpected this time - we discovered insanely new things! In wonderful sunny summer weather, we explored new paths in the region and dared a culinary experiment. It took us high up and far into the past.

On the fifth Secret Tour we did an orienteering run and discovered the primeval forest of the Palatinate Forest. Quite old-fashioned, only maps and compasses were allowed as aids. The weather left something to be desired, but that didn't detract from the fun, games and excitement!

The fourth Secret Tour was great once again! This time we took the theme of forest bathing literally: Each participant could take an intensive forest bath. And we realized that even the little things in life make you happy ;-)

For the third Secret Tour we have come up with something completely new. It will be as always a special kind of nature experience, only this time maybe a little colder! But more is not betrayed, only so much: Gloves, hat and scarf pack and not long torch: The number of participants is as always limited to a few lucky people.

The first tour in the Secret Tours series went by the name of "GÖNN DIR!" and took its participants to the dreamy wine village of Gönnheim in the Vorderpfalz region in bright late summer weather. Picked up from the train station by covered wagon, they went directly to the vineyard to harvest grapes. After a lot of sun, fresh air and physical work came the enjoyment part: wine tasting, culinary break, a guided tour with insight into the further wine processing and the sacred halls of the wine cellar, tested the wine again for safety and with heavy arms and a Palatinate experience richer back to Lautern. And no one missed his cell phone.
