Whether Kaiserslautern is beautiful or not is debatable and probably in the eye of the beholder. What is indisputable, however, is that there is far more to discover than the RPTU campus and your own dorm room.

A team of experts made up of passionate natives, long-term students, locals and foreigners, alumni, new lautres and hangers-on have put their heads together and compiled a list of must-sees before you leave this city. From sights to infamous parties to special moments, places and unforgettable experiences. In short, things not to be missed!

Of course, there are still many things that make Lautrer life special and unfortunately didn't make it onto this list, like the pub and café life, the legendary Waschmühle, the Mehlinger Heide, the weekly market and much more. So even if you've checked off the Kaiserslautern bucket list, there's still plenty to discover.

For each item on the list we have compiled a short description, interesting facts, tips and a few pictures. In addition, of course, a short description of how to get there. All destinations are accessible by public transport or on foot.
