Wildpark – pfälzer wildlife

In the southeast of Lautern, in the middle of the forest, the next highlight and the fourth item on our bucket list Kaiserslautern awaits you. Combine a leisurely forest hike with "wild animals"? Normally not a good idea, but here absolutely recommended. In the wildlife park of Kaiserslautern, just behind the Betzenberg, you can experience the Palatinate forest inhabitants, deer, wild boars or lynxes up close. But also some ex-inhabitants, which no longer exist in the wild in our forest, such as wisents, will accompany you on your walk. A fence protects you from unwanted proximity to the animals. A pleasure of the animal kind, throughout the year and at any time you want - 24/7. Once to the buffalos and back, can be done in less than two hours, costs nothing and there are some fabulous photo motifs on top. Predicate: Instagamable.

Highlights & Tipps

The wildlife park is also a special highlight in the early morning hours. Our tip - Buffalo Breakfast: You have the viewing platform all to yourself early in the morning. With a croissant and coffee, you can let your gaze wander over the "prairie".

If you have a little time afterwards, you can stay during feeding times.

Monday - Friday 09:00 - 10:00 and 14:00 - 15:00

Saturday, Sunday and holidays 09:00 - 10:00

Guided tours of the park (also in English), free of charge, can be arranged by request via mail or by phone.
