Registration fee

40€ per team

Please make sure that only one player registers on behalf of the whole team. Not all players of the team have to register.

A Unisport subscription or Unisport Deluxe Card is not required to participate. However, all team members must have one of the requested status groups. These will be randomly checked on the match days.

Beach League

That was the 2024 Beach League season. Over several match days, the teams gave their best and showed their skills on the sand. In the end, the respective winners were found. Now it's time for the winter break. See you again next summer!

Now an absolute classic at Unisport: the beach league!

The balls and athletes will fly across the sand on our fantastic beach courts in the best atmosphere and weather (perhaps even in more adverse conditions)!

As you know it from glorious times, Chill&Grill will also be there again. So the summery atmosphere after an exhausting day at the gym is guaranteed!

Will your team dominate the beach this year and take home the victory? Or do you just want to play against new challengers? Whether you're a seasoned sandcorn counter or a beach newbie, everyone is in good hands here!

Game mode

There is room for 12 mixed (beginner) and 12 mixed (advanced) teams, we play in 2 separate classifications. Each person can only play in one of the divisions!
A team consists of 2 players on the field.
- However, a team can consist of up to 4 players if you can already foresee that you will not be able to play on all match days.
- Write the names of the players in your team in the note when registering. Either with matriculation number or affiliated institution.
- If a team from this pool of players is unable to play, the match will be deemed a forfeit or an alternative date will be agreed separately with the opposing team.
There will be 6 match days + semi-finals + final, i.e. 8 match days. Please only register if you are sure that you can be present on all match days. You will receive the exact mode in a briefing after the registration deadline, depending on the number of teams registered.
A match day lasts about 2.5 hours. The beginner classification will be played from 15:00 to 17:30, the advanced classification from 17:30 to 20:00.
You will probably play 2 games per match day, depending on the final mode.
One match will be played in best of 3 to 15 points per set.
Students and employees of RPTU and Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences as well as students and employees of the affiliated institutes are eligible to participate.

In the event of rain, we may have to cancel match days, we have planned a time buffer for this and know from last year that you would also play in somewhat adverse weather conditions.

A player may only participate in one of the classifications. In the event of a double entry, one of the two entries will be canceled. Entries will be based on the participants' own assessment. Only participants in the advanced classification will be admitted to the Champions Cup. The competition team reserves the right to add a qualifying tournament to adjust the distribution of teams. A men's and a women's ranking will be played on an extra tournament day in a one-day format.

Extra tournament day for the men's and women's teams

In addition to the two mixed rankings, there will be two individual match days for men's and women's teams this year. The registration fee is €12 per team and registration is possible from 01.04.2024. The registration deadline is always two weeks before the respective tournament day. You can find the link to the registration under the links to the Beach League. A briefing will be sent by the competition team in advance by e-mail.

The women's tournament is scheduled for 18.06.2024 and the men's tournament for 25.06.2024.

ChampionsCup

After the final match day at both RPTU locations, we want to organize the Champions Cup, where the best teams from Landau and Kaiserslautern will meet and play out a champion. The two finalists of the respective beach leagues or one-day tournaments are automatically seeded for the Champions Cup. There will be a men's, a women's and a mixed competition.

The Campions Cup will take place on Tuesday, 16.07.24 from 17:00 on the beach volleyball courts at the Landau campus.
