The Dahner Felsenland in the Wasgau region of southern Palatinate is a nationally renowned climbing area right on our doorstep. However, only very experienced climbers can climb the rocks on their own. Adventurous protection and few pitons make independent climbing an alpine undertaking. On this excursion, you will be accompanied by trained DAV instructors who know the "Palatinate" like the back of their hand and are particularly well trained in the use of mobile belay devices. Travel and meals are not included in the course fee and are organized jointly. If you unfortunately have to work on Fridays, it is no problem for you to join us on Friday evening.

Climbing is an intense experience where everyone can reach their own limits. This course teaches theoretical knowledge and the safe use of all types of mobile belay devices (friends, wedges, hexentrics, slings and much more). The aim is to climb a suitable route with mobile belay devices, with safety being the top priority. Due to the complexity of the course content, this goal cannot always be achieved, as it requires a lot of practice to use the equipment correctly. All participants must be aware that this form of climbing is associated with an increased risk potential. To ensure that you receive ideal supervision from us, a maximum of 2-3 participants per instructor will be trained.
This trip is aimed at anyone who wants to improve their skills in using mobile belay devices. Prerequisites for this course are basic belaying skills in lead climbing, as well as personal climbing skills from the lower 5th degree.

Of course, a day is not over after the climbing program. Over an after-work drink with a fantastic view over the Wasgau, you can experience the Palatinate red sandstone in its most original form and reflect on the day's experiences.
