Every year, the German University Sports Association (adh) organizes competitions and tournaments in which students and university staff from all over Germany can compete against each other. In total, there are over 50 events in various sports each year, which are organized by different universities.

Those who are particularly successful at a German university championship sometimes have the opportunity to qualify for and take part in international events.

The college sports department at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau supports participants in taking part in competitions.
