Climbing tower at RPTU
Welcome to the heart of the vertical!

We are delighted to welcome you to the official website of the Peak 17 climbing tower. With its 17 meters, the tower is enthroned in the middle of the Palatinate Sports Center on the sports grounds of the RPTU in Kaiserslautern.

Peak 17 is a cooperation project between the DAV Landesverband Rheinland-Pfalz, the University of Kaiserslautern-Landau and the Heinrich-Heine-Gymnasium Kaiserslautern. The climbing tower offers a variety of routes and walls for all levels of amateur and competitive sport. From the 3rd to the 11th UIAA level of difficulty, we have a wide range of climbing routes ready for you. We offer various climbing routes on a climbing area of approx. 650m² with 28 deflection points.
