And this is how it works

Have you always wanted to try the famous flamenco dance but didn't know where to start? Or do you want to learn to express passion and serenity, control and freedom, whether for your own pleasure or for a spectacular performance? Then this new flamenco beginners' course is just the thing for you!

Over the course of this semester we will learn the basics of the traditional Spanish dance with centuries of history: Sevillanas! Most of the dances involve hand movements, core control, foot steps and of course the whole body, and can be danced solo or in pairs (without gender roles). You will learn the basics of the movements, and together we will work on body technique, sense of rhythm, understanding the tempo and embodying emotions during the dance.

This course is taught entirely in English.

There is no dress code: skirts, leggings, whatever clothing is comfortable for you to take big steps (even at the beginning of this exciting class). The best shoes are those with a stable heel (2-3 cm, no higher than 5 cm) - but if you don't have these, sneakers are fine too.
And all you need is a good mood and a desire to learn something new and exciting! So, I can't wait to see you in class and dance together!
