And this is how it works
Snorkeling training teaches how to use a mask, snorkel and fins (ABC equipment), which is a prerequisite for safe scuba diving. Varied exercises and underwater games are used to train fitness, coordination and apnea skills. Participants learn the practical skills required to obtain an internationally recognized diving certificate as part of the course (separate costs apply for this: Examination fee, rental of diving equipment, medical examination for diving fitness).
The course is aimed at beginners and advanced divers. Participants must be able to swim confidently at the start of the course. If required, the course can also be held in English.
Snorkeling training takes place after the warm-up swim (in separate groups for beginners and advanced swimmers at the start of the course). After completing the training units, there is the opportunity to take part in a game (e.g. underwater ball, a modified form of underwater rugby). If required, training on diving equipment and open water dives to obtain an internationally recognized diving certificate are offered later in the course.
Courses for beginners start in the winter semester. Advanced divers can join at any time.
