The Dahner Felsenland in the Wasgau region of southern Palatinate is a nationally renowned climbing area right on our doorstep. Nevertheless, it is not always easy to find the more than 60 climbing crags, as they are often hidden deep in the Palatinate Forest. During this activity, you will be accompanied by trained DAV instructors who know the Palz like the back of their hand. They will show you crags that are ideal for setting up topropes without having to lead climb.
In the middle of nature, we will enjoy our typical outdoor atmosphere over an after-work drink together. Travel and meals are not included in the course fee and will be organized jointly. If you unfortunately have to work on Fridays, it is not an issue if you only join us on Friday evening.
Course program
Climbing is an intense experience where everyone can reach their own limits. To ensure maximum safety, even in a very classic climbing area like the Palatinate, we climb toprope. While beginners get a complete introduction to climbing and belaying, advanced climbers will be interested to learn how to safely set up topropes on the rock and what other options there are to increase safety in the Palatinate. The safe step from the hall to the rock!
Of course, there is also plenty of climbing time on the program to try out what you have learned in practice. The leisure time is aimed at anyone who wants to experience climbing in the great outdoors. There are no safety or technical climbing requirements. So you can also take part if you are not yet able to belay.
