Catamaran sailing on Rügen

The Wieker Bodden, in the north-east of Rügen on the Wittow peninsula, is one of the sunniest and windiest regions in Germany. Connoisseurs regard it as an ideal practice area for kiters, windsurfers, wingers and sailors and those who want to become one. Thanks to the shallow water and nearby accommodation, the area offers everything a water sports enthusiast could dream of, whether you are a beginner or an advanced surfer. All courses take place in cooperation with the local surf and kite school, the Rügen Pirates.

Catamaran course

The event's water sports program offers you the opportunity to learn to sail a catamaran from scratch. The basics are also an exciting transition for newcomers to dinghy sailing and are therefore very welcome. Qualified VDWS instructors will teach you all the skills you need for the VDWS basic license. For the pros, it continues from gennaker sailing to strong wind trapeze.
When the Bodden becomes too small, we head out onto the Baltic Sea!
It is possible to obtain an inland and sea boating license. Special requirements are necessary for this, so it is essential to send an email to unisport-wassersport(at)rptu.de in good time for more detailed information.

Supporting program

Barbecues, table football tournaments, bike tours and other island explorations are just a small part of the varied supporting program. Let yourself be surprised!
