Teufelstisch - stunning stone formation

You can tick the last box on the Palatinate bucket list at a very special place. The Devil's Table in Hinterweidenthal in Dahner Felsenland is a natural monument whose bizarre shape will make you ponder the laws of physics once again.

The fact that the huge table top rests on the seemingly small pillar and thus attracts numerous visitors makes it the perfect last destination for our Palatinate bucket list. The surrounding Teufelstisch Adventure Park has even more such colorful rock formations and it's worth taking a hike or two here. It is particularly beautiful here in the evening when the red sandstone is illuminated by the sun and the colors glow even more intensely.

Highlights & Tips

The entire Teufelstisch adventure park is a highlight. From educational boards about the formation of the rock, to a small rest area in the nearby birch grove and a spring with a stream, there is plenty to discover here.

You can also compete with your friends on the Mingolf course.

Admission: €2.00

Various well-signposted hiking trails start from the adventure park, taking you to other rocks and allowing you to experience the beauty of the region.

By public transport, take the RB64 from Kaiserslautern main station to Pirmasens main station. Here you change to the RB55 to Hinterweidental. Follow the signposts for about 15 minutes to Teufelstisch. The entire route will take you just over an hour.
