UNIVERSITY PEARL OF THE YEAR
Every month, the Stifterverband honors innovative projects at universities with the University Pearl of the Month in order to raise public awareness of them. We were proud to receive this award with Game of TUK in September 2019. At the end of the year, the 12 prizewinners were selected as the University Pearl of the Year. In 2019, the prize was awarded to two winners for the first time after an exciting battle, with Saarland University winning the award with the lecture "Ethics for Nerds" alongside RPTU with Game of TUK. "The game 'Game of TUK' combines the analog world with the new digital possibilities in an exciting way," praised the Stifterverband jury. "App-based games and everyday offline competitions motivate students in a playful way to exercise and be more active - essential conditions for health and wellbeing." We used the "SMS for more hammocks" campaign to promote the vote. We are building a hammock park for you with the prize money from the University Pearl of the Year.
