CampusParty - The Big Five

Lautern has a lively city center and a great pub culture, especially in the old town. But if you're looking for wild parties, big dance floors and the real beat of the city, the legendary campus parties at RPTU are the place to be. It's easy to forget everyday university life here. Dance with friends, meet new people and enjoy life - always with a cold drink in your hand and good music in your ears.

Large and small parties are held on campus every Thursday throughout the year. But the parties that you definitely shouldn't miss, because everyone will be talking about them the next day, are on this bucket list for their uniqueness and sheer size, and quite rightly so: The Big Five.

Maschfasch (February) - indoor

THE carnival party in Lautern, where costumes are compulsory! Every year, the Mechanical Engineering department's party has a different theme. So, get creative and start crafting - it's worth it, because there's even a prize in the costume competition

May party (May) - indoor

Would you rather spend the day relaxing with your fellow students on campus in the beer garden, eating and drinking comfortably, watching a gladiator game (or even taking part yourself) and spontaneously deciding to party? Then the Maifete is perfect for you:

Nikofete (December) - indoor

Ring in the Christmas season with a party, dress up as a Christmas elf or gnome and dance away a few calories from all the gingerbread and speculoos? You can do that at the Nikofete:

Highlights & Tips

It is always a good idea to buy tickets in advance. They are usually sold on campus on certain days. Some of the parties do not have a box office, so advance sales are the only way to get the coveted tickets.

Drinks and food are only paid for in cash, so don't forget the necessary change.

A photo of your checkroom badge can sometimes save you from a cold walk home if your badge gets lost while dancing.
