Old Town Festival - 3 days, 9 stages, open air

There's that one moment in the year when everyone in Kaiserslautern just drops the pen and says: "So, let's celebrate!". This moment is always the Friday afternoon of the July 1st weekend and our point 7 on the Kaiserslautern bucket list. Summer is celebrated for three days on a total of nine stages throughout the old town. If you're not afraid of crowds and like to eat and drink, this is the place to be. Countless food, wine and beer stands supply you from live stage to live stage with regional delicacies and everything your gourmet palate desires. Kaiserslautern in a sociable state of emergency and gentle summer frenzy: our must-see number 7!

Highlights & Tips

At the Altstadtfest, as at all street festivals, payment is made in cash, so be sure to withdraw money beforehand.

The program is fixed weeks before the festival and is published in a small program booklet. You can find these in cafés, bars or in digital form on the Kaiserslautern city website .
