Member information on the Corona-related UNIFIT closing time 1

Dear UNIFIT members,

the temporary UNIFIT closure period 1 lasted from 16.03.2020 to 28.05.2020. With regard to the first Corona-related closure period, we would like to offer you two options to compensate for the downtime of your training at UNIFIT.

1. solidarity and support despite temporary closure, but 4 months free Bring-A-Friend after reopening.
2. time credit over the period of closure following the applicable contract period.

Option 1: I support UNIFIT
Coping with the current situation, which is very extraordinary for all of us, requires not only social distancing but also a certain solidarity with our fellow human beings. If you have decided to support us despite the temporary closure of UNIFIT by continuing to pay your membership fees, we would like to thank you very much in the form of the 4-month Bring-A-Friend offer.
The Bring-A-Friend offer can be used again with immediate effect! Please register the use of option 1 in advance at the Infopoint.

Option 2: I would like a time credit
To compensate for the membership fees you have paid and for the training time you have missed during the closure of UNIFIT, we offer you the opportunity to take advantage of a time credit for the duration of UNIFIT's closure period for the free use of the contractually agreed services during this period. This time credit will be appended to the end of your current contract term. To take advantage of the time credit, please let us know in writing once UNIFIT reopens. An example of option 2 can be found further down on this page.

Explanation of option 2:

Mr. Mustermann took out a 12-month UNIFIT membership on 01.08.2019. His next possible contract end date is therefore 31.07.2020. He was also affected by the Corona-related temporary closure of UNIFIT (16.03. to 28.05.2020, i.e. 2 months and 13 days).

Mr. Mustermann would like to remain a member of UNIFIT even after the corona-related closure and informs the UNIFIT team in writing that he would like to take advantage of option 2 (time credit) to compensate for the closure period. The period of 2 months and 13 days is divided up: For the duration of 2 months, the option of compensating the closing time applies. At Mr. Mustermann's request, the remaining 13 days will be offset pro rata when the next membership fee is debited, as only the first day of a month is valid as the start of a period with regard to membership contracts.

Before Mr. Mustermann's contract is automatically extended by 6 months after 31.07.2020 due to lack of termination as stipulated in the contract, the time credit of two months included in option 2 applies first. Mr. Mustermann therefore remains a member of UNIFIT from 01.08. to 30.09.2020 as part of the time credit without having to pay membership fees during this time. The new 6-month contract term, by which his contract is automatically extended if he does not cancel after 31.07.2020, will therefore only start on 01.10.2020. At the same time, Mr. Mustermann applies to the UNIFIT team for an adjustment of his membership fee with the next direct debit to compensate for the remaining 13 days of closure.

- Original contract term: 01.08.2019 to 31.07.2020 (normal contribution payment)
- Corona-related closure period of UNIFIT: 16.03.2020 to 28.05.2020 (2 months and 13 days)
- Period of time credit taken: 01.08.2020 to 30.09.2020 (2 months; no contribution payment)
- For the remaining 13 days: compensation of the membership fee with the next direct debit
- Period of the new six-month contract term: 01.10.2020 to 31.03.2021 (6 months, normal contribution payment)
- New next possible contract end date: 31.03.2021
