NEW in summer semester 2025:
The weekly after-work picnic at the ZSGW!
Rays of sunshine, refreshing drinks, blades of grass between your toes and a variety of entertainment - that's the new SUMMER SOUL event series! From June, we invite you to a cozy family picnic every Wednesday in good weather.
Every week, SUMMER SOUL has a different theme: concerts, talks, workshops and much more are planned. You can find all the information about the individual dates in the overview below. In addition, the new adventure playground KITZLANDfor which you actually need a Unisport Kids subscription, can be used free of charge on the dates of SUMMER SOUL!
Bring your own food for your picnic, as well as a blanket, cushion or other equipment to make yourself comfortable on the new play area on the Unisport outdoor facilities. Tip: the Studierendenwerk evening canteen offers a variety of meals and snacks for a successful picnic! A wide selection of drinks can be purchased at SUMMER SOUL, so please do not bring your own drinks.
So get out of the lab, lecture hall, office or library - we look forward to having a picnic with you!
Admission is free. In case of bad weather, individual dates may have to be canceled at short notice.
Schedule overview
On June 4th we celebrate the start of the new event series SUMMER SOUL, as well as the opening of the new adventure playground KITZLAND!
Children, families and all interested parties are cordially invited to inaugurate the new play and exercise facilities on the Unisport grounds and try them out free of charge.
In addition to the ceremonial opening by the RPTU presidium and supporters of the adventure playground, the program includes a musical supporting program especially for children, small and social games as well as homemade lemonades and iced tea, other drinks and sacks, an ice cream van and much more.
Admission is free - we look forward to seeing you there!

Acoustic rock in the open air - LIO live at SUMMER SOUL!
The Lautr band LIO will accompany the rock evening at SUMMER SOUL exclusively as an acoustic trio. With guitar, cajón and vocals, they give well-known rock songs a very special touch. Perfect in combination with the cozy family picnic in SUMMER SOUL style!

We activate and mobilize, strengthen and stretch, flow through various yoga exercises (asanas), challenge ourselves, sweat, let go and relax, accompanied by sometimes gentle, sometimes motivating beats that accompany our movements. It's not about skill, but about feeling, about your own energy flow instead of perfection, about trying things out and letting yourself drift, about turning individual parts into a whole... just flow.

SUMMER SOUL goes vintage: combine your after-work picnic at the ZSGW with the opportunity to get hold of new old treasures at the swap flea market and pass on books, board games, clothes and other second-hand items to new owners. Small workshops, e.g. on record upcycling, will be held at the same time.
Participation in the swap flea market is free of charge. Further information will be announced shortly.

The OPEN STAGE is CampusPlus' talent stage, where quirky acts, goosebump moments and great entertainment are performed every year. The event starts at 18:30 on the outdoor stage at the Unisport Outdoor facilities. From 16:00, you can look forward to the evening at the ZSGW picnic.

The final spurt of the summer semester has begun and you need some positive vibes for the last exhausting weeks? On 16 July, the reigning German-speaking poetry slam champion will be performing on the outdoor stage at RPTU's Outdoor facilities from 17:00: RPTU student Anuraj Sri Rajarajendran!

At the weekly ZSGW picnic, things are getting creative and artistic this week: people are painting, crafting, designing, making, upcycling, embellishing and much more.

At the end of the lecture period, the music quiz is on the program from 17:00: come along with friends, family or colleagues and guess over several rounds to answer the musical quiz questions together. There are great prizes for the best guessers!

At the end of the SUMMER SOUL season, CampusPlus' CAMPUS KINO takes place in the small amphitheater at the Unisport outdoor facilities. Every summer, CampusPlus shows a different movie in a very special outdoor atmosphere, where of course plenty of popcorn is provided.
The movie starts in the evening. Further details about the Campus Cinema will be announced in the course of the summer semester.

The beginning of autumn is just around the corner and we want to bring the summer to a fitting end. In a cozy atmosphere and by candlelight, various artists from classical to modern will perform on the outdoor stage of the Unisport Outdoor facilities. More information will follow soon!
