Winetasting in a traditional winery

When it comes to wine, we Palatinate people like to go into detail, enjoy tasting our way through and also like to visit the various wineries. In addition to very interesting facts about the development of wine (grape varieties, their characteristics, soil conditions and ageing), you will also learn a lot about storage and the winery itself.

A wine tasting is a great opportunity to taste different wines in a relaxed atmosphere and learn more about the craft and culture. After a guided tour through the vineyards and the wine cellar, the aim is to experience the taste diversity of the respective winery with all your senses. What you should know: Here, the focus is often laid on looking at the color intensity, swirling the glass to unfold the smell, smelling to recognize aromas and tasting the variety.

At a wine tasting, it can be easy to drink too much of a good wine. So, here's a tip from us professionals: you don't have to drink every glass, because not everyone is as hard-drinking as a real Pfälzer winegrower. No matter what, fun is guaranteed at a wine tasting!
