The Dahner Felsenland in the Wasgau region of southern Palatinate is a nationally known climbing area right on our doorstep. However, independent climbing of the rocks is only possible for very experienced climbers. Challenging contitions and limited hooks make independent climbing an alpine undertaking. During this excursion you will be accompanied by trained DAV instructors who know the "Pfalz" like the back of their hand and are especially well trained in mobile belay devices an trad climbing. Travel and meals are not included in the course fee and will be organized jointly. If you unfortunately have to work on Friday, it is no problem that you join us on Friday evening.

Climbing is an intense experience where everyone can reach their own limits. In this course, theoretical knowledge and safe handling of mobile belay devices of all kinds (friends, wedges, hexentrics, slings, etc.) are taught. The goal is to climb a suitable route with mobile belay devices, with safety as the first priority. Due to the complexity of the course content, this goal cannot always be necessarily achieved, as it requires a lot of practice to use the devices correctly. It must be clear to all participants that this form of climbing is accompanied by an increased potential for danger. To ensure that you receive ideal supervision from us, a maximum of 2-3 participants per instructor will be trained.
This trip is aimed at all those who want to expand their competence in the use of mobile belay devices. Prerequisite for this course are basic belay skills in lead climbing, as well as a personal climbing ability from the lower 5th degree.

Of course, a day is not over after the climbing program. At the end of the day we´ll have a drink with a great view over the Wasgau and you can experience the Palatinate red sandstone in the most original way and review the experiences of the day.
