Based on contemporary dance techniques, contact improvisation, performance and Butoh dance, we will perform games and exercises to develop balance, coordination, agility, body memory and collective communication. The workshop is aimed at anyone interested in exploring creativity and expression with their own body.
Acromoving
Acromoving is a movement technique developed by Javier Campuzano Yedra (Mestre Banano). It is based on capoeira, dance, floor acrobatics, Olympic gymnastics and functional training. This method promotes the practitioner's physical, motor and mental abilities and develops strength, balance, control and endurance.
Capoeira
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, play and combat. It is "played" in pairs in the middle of a circle of people to the rhythm of traditional percussion instruments. The "players" exchange attacks and dodge them without touching each other, giving the impression that they are dancing. It is a very comprehensive discipline that trains all parts of the body, improves stamina, coordination and improvisation skills.
Batizado
"Batizado" (baptism) is the name of the ceremony at which the first capoeira belt is awarded. For this, those who receive the belt perform a "game" with a master. It is a recognition for students who have practiced capoeira for at least six months.
