Women's doubles deliver beach volleyball at its finest

The women's beach volleyball tournament took place for the third time on June 29, 2025 at RPTU n Kaiserslautern's Unisport. Once again, it was clear why the format is enjoying growing popularity. In the best summer weather, a total of 9 teams of two gathered on the Unisport beach court from 4 p.m. to compete for the tournament victory in a fair, sporting competition. They were supported by numerous spectators, who created a pleasant, motivating atmosphere.

The preliminary round was played in three groups of three teams each. The four best teams then qualified for the final round. The small final was particularly exciting: in a close match, Team Vanessa narrowly beat Hoppi Galoppi 2:1 to secure third place. Team Ausgebaggert finally won the tournament, beating EllieGurl & RollsiRoll in the final.

In addition to trophies, certificates, medals and a bulging goodie bag, the winners also received plenty of applause and recognition. However, the focus of the tournament was not only on sporting success, but above all on fairness, mutual respect and having fun. After the tournament, the evening ended with a relaxed "Chill & Grill" - and many are already looking forward to a sequel next year.
